Interporto Marche hosts the partners of M.E.D.I.T.A, (Mediterranean Information Traffic Application) for a new update of the implementation status of the project.
Under the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF), €26.25 billion will be made available from the EU’s 2014-2020 budget to co-fund TEN-T projects in the EU Member States. Of this amount, €11.305 billion will be available only for projects in Member States eligible for the Cohesion Fund.

The second steering committee of the project was held in Bar, Montenegro 18th November 2013, after the feasibility phase. The partners agreed on technical characteristics of the OP system, which will be implemented in the next months. A registration agreement will be written for truck companies, every terminal will have the responsibility to provide and register tags in the system: the companies will be registered by their proximity node.
A specific technical committee of the project MEDITA was held on May 31th 2013 in Valencia. Each operative partner presented their own state of the art in the implementation of Intelligent Freight Corridor between Valencia, Livorno, Jesi Ancona, Bar and Patras, allowing goods and information traceability integrating RFID technologies with the appropriate IT systems. MEDITA’s system architecture works at two levels; Certification: The first time the freight company sends a registration request. the identification number corresponding to the RFID tag mounted on the truck and/or on the trailer and its corresponding path. Implementation of 3 types of RFID devices managed by the platform: Non – remouvable RFID passive tag on the truck; Non – remouvable RFID passive tag on the trailer; Verification of the truck’s RFID the first time it enters a MEDITA network node.
The TEN-T Info Day for the 2013 Calls for Proposals will take place on Friday 13 December 2013 in the Centre Conference Albert Borschette in Brussels, Belgium. The event will present the priorities for the 2013 Calls (yet to be launched). In addition, the Info Day will provide participants with practical information about how to prepare a successful proposal, as well as other background information relevant to the process.
A separate session on ITS priorities in the 2013 TEN-T Multi-Annual Call will be organised concurrently to the TEN-T Calls Info Day on Friday 13 December 2013 in the Centre Conference Albert Borschette in Brussels, Belgium.
To support the preparation of proposals for the first round of calls under the Smart, Green and Integrated Transport challenge of the new Horizon 2020 Framework Programme , the Transport Directorate of the European Commission’s Research and Innovation Directorate-General is organising an Information Day on 18 December 2013 in the Charlemagne building, rue de la Loi 170, Brussels.
The Kick of meeting of the project MEDITA was held on March 19th 2013 in Livorno. It was the real start up of the project after the intense project phase which required the commitment of all partners. The meeting aimed also at presenting to the partners reporting procedures of the costs, the procedures of the first level controller and administrative matters.
